VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Feb. 4  - Around 350 Canadian Forces members from 3 Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment (3 R22eR), will be deployed in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region between February 6 and 11 to carry out a winter exercise. The training exercise will consist of various scenarios simulating aid to civilian authorities and involving land and airborne operations. 

Throughout the exercise, day or night, residents of the municipalities to be visited may see military vehicles travelling on the roads, parachutists jumping from Griffon helicopters and soldiers patrolling the woods on snowmobiles, snowshoes or military skis. 

The 3 R22eR members will be supported in their tasks by colleagues from 430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron.
